Considerations often include the minimum level of education or certification you need, and also the pay scale that you should expect once you start work. For a start in the radiology field, most individuals will need to have a certain level of education or certification. Once you have some form of qualification or certification, it should be no problem for you to find a job in a hospital or a medical clinic. At times, you might even be offered a job in specialized radiology laboratories, where most research is mainly conducted.
However, if you are a certified and qualified radiologist, you will be doing more than just operating the radiology equipment, as you will be expected to read the results of the different tests, and even make diagnoses.
If you want to know what to expect as your salary, you should understand that this is largely dependent on the job position you are offered, as well as the qualifications you carry. Pay scales can range from $30,000 a year, to more than $100,000 a year.
