Apart from this, you should also be able to find certificate programs that give you one year of training, before becoming a qualified radiology technician. You might also want to consider a bachelor’s degree program, which should also get you a job in a field related to radiology.

Once you have some form of qualification or certification, it should be no problem for you to find a job in a hospital or a medical clinic. At times, you might even be offered a job in specialized radiology laboratories, where most research is mainly conducted.

However, if you are a certified and qualified radiologist, you will be doing more than just operating the radiology equipment, as you will be expected to read the results of the different tests, and even make diagnoses.

If you want to know what to expect as your salary, you should understand that this is largely dependent on the job position you are offered, as well as the qualifications you carry. Pay scales can range from $30,000 a year, to more than $100,000 a year.
